"Nobody knows who I am anymore What I'm really like What I think about doing"
The Falling is a slightly obscure but beautifully done film directed by Carol Morley. Lydia (Maisie Williams) and Abbey (Florence Pugh) are English school girls in the year 1969. The pair are best friends and always bound to create mischief. They are living in an era in the British society was experiencing a change in liberation and it's evident to see in the girls' conversation- especially when it comes to their newfound sexuality. Their world seems idyllic...with the exception of Lydia's agoraphobic mother. However, an incident occurs and soon after, a fainting epidemic happens in the school which is no tempest.
