Argo (2012)

“I think my story’s the only thing between you and a gun to your head.”

Films saved my life. It gave me a purpose. It gave my future self goals and objectives to accomplish. But in Argo, a film quite literally saved the lives of a few americans who were taken hostage by Iranian militants. Brilliantly directed and starred in by Ben Affleck, and also based on a true story, Argo told the story of a filmmaker who used his craft as a cover-up to get his fellow countrymen away from harm. It left me on the edge of my seat, making me want to rip my hair out dying to find out what was going to happen and it surely will do the same to you.
